Frederickson Man Arrested, Accused Of Killing 80-Year-Old Grandfather

Frederickson, WA — One man has been arrested, accused of killing his own grandfather in Frederickson Tuesday morning.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department reports that, just before 10 a.m. dispatchers received a 911 call from a woman who said her son had killed his grandfather at their home near the intersection of Military Road E and 50th Ave Ct E.

Once on scene, deputies used a loudspeaker outside the home, asking the suspect to come forward. He left the building shortly afterwards and surrendered peacefully, according to Sheriff's Department PIO Darren Moss.

Once the suspect is in custody, deputies began to search the home, but quickly found the entrance barred. After forcing the front door open, they found an 80-year-old man, the suspect's grandfather, dead inside.

Investigators have interviewed the suspect and are preparing to book him into the Pierce County Jail where he will likely face murder charges.
