Graham Construction Project Gets Open House Date

Pierce County officials will meet with community residents to discuss an improvement project at 224th St. and 92nd Ave. east in Graham.

GRAHAM, WA - A plan to improve the intersection near the Pierce County Library in Graham will be shared and discussed with interested community residents during an open house at North Star Elementary next week.

The open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at 7710 224th St. E. County staff will be available to answer questions and hear public concerns regarding the intersection improvement project at 92nd Avenue and 224th Street east.

According to county officials, the project will see a new traffic signal installed, along with several new turning lanes, new sidewalks, street lights, and storm drainage systems.

"The improvements are expected to improve safety and traffic operations at the intersection," county officials said in a statement. "Pierce County is currently finalizing preliminary design plans and right-of-way plans for the project."

The project is currently expected to take place throughout 2021 and 2022.
