"Hoarding: Buried Alive" Takes on Spanaway's House of Rats

The hit TLC reality show "Hoarding: Buried Alive" filmed an episode this week at the "House of Rats" in Spanaway.

Reality camera crews descended on Spanaway this week to film the cleanup of a rat-infested house for the TV show Hoarding: Buried Alive on TLC.

More than 20 people in hazard materials suits plus a rat exterminator visited the home on Tuesday, located near Spanaway Lake High School onΒ 17th Avenue East, according to The Tacoma News Tribune.

The exterminator had gone through the abandoned house weeks before, but said there was still a large number of rats still in the house, plus dead rodents and blood. Broke down cars, garbage and even abandoned pianos were left on the property by the former tenant.
