Lacrosse 'Team Mom' Raped Child Player: Pierce County Prosecutor

Su Dillon, 44, allegedly maintained a sexual relationship with an 11-year-old boy for one year while the boy played on her husband's team.

PUYALLUP, WA β€” The wife of a local lacrosse coach, who was apparently thought of as "the team mom," reportedly admitted to Pierce County investigators this week that for roughly one year she maintained a sexual relationship with one of the 11-year-old boys on her husband's team.

Su Hyon Dillon, 44, is facing four counts of first-degree rape of a child. She was arraigned in Pierce County on Wednesday. Her next court appearance is set for May 14.

Dillon reportedly admitted to having a sexual relationship with the boy beginning with a kiss on the lips when he was 10 years old. Then, from about May 20, 2014, to May 19, 2015, Dillon and the boy β€” aged 11 β€” allegedly engaged in sex at least four times: twice at Dillon's home, once at the victim's home, and once while on a team lacrosse trip in San Diego.

The investigation into Dillon's alleged activity began April 5 when the victim's mother called police to report Dillon had raped her son. The victim's mother reportedly told detectives her boy was acting out, missing school, cutting himself, and threatening suicide, so she arranged for him to live with his father across the country.

While with his father, the boy's attitude and behavior began showing improvements, spurred at least in part by counseling, court documents state, adding that it was during counseling the boy revealed the sexual abuse.

The boy said the relationship began with a kiss and escalated to sex from there, court documents state. When asked why he never mentioned it at any point over the past four years, the boy reportedly said "he thought it was cool and did not realize it was wrong."

For her part, Dillon initially denied any wrongdoing when interviewed by detectives. Eventually, however, she relented and admitted to her alleged deviancy, court documents state.

Dillon denied committing any aberrant acts with other children, and also refuted her status as "the team mom," before telling detectives "she was the adult and should have known better (than to have sex with a child)," court documents state.

Detectives said Dillon "admitted (to) having problems in her marriage and that the victim made her feel good," but denied having any interest in a longterm relationship with the boy. Rather, she simply liked the attention he gave her during that time, court documents state, noting also that "(Dillon) said she knew it was wrong and wanted to end the relationship."
