Man Killed In Spanaway Shooting, Suspect Arrested
An overnight manhunt for the 31-year-old suspect ended with his arrest early Tuesday.

SPANAWAY, WA β One man has died and another is behind bars after a deadly shooting Monday night in Spanaway.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, just before 8:30 p.m. 911 dispatchers received a call reporting shots fired in the 200 block of 165th St S.
According to witnesses, the shooting had happened in the front yard of a nearby home.

When officers arrived they found the victim, a 29-year-old man, injured and attempted to give him medical treatment until paramedics arrived, but unfortunately the man died not long after.
Deputies quickly identified the suspect as a 31-year-old man, and dispatched a K9 team to search the surrounding neighborhood. While that search turned up very little, deputies continued to work through the night, and at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, confirmed that they had found and captured the suspect. He has been booked in the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of first degree murder.
