Pierce County Burn Ban Lifted Wednesday
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency lifted the Stage 2 burn ban for greater Pierce County effective at 12 p.m. Jan. 16.

SEATTLE - The Stage 2 burn ban issued for greater Pierce County earlier this week will be lifted Wednesday, according to the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency.
Imposed due to stagnant weather conditions and air pollution levels, the Stage 2 burn ban went into effect Jan. 13 and applied to all Pierce County residents except for those on the Pierce Peninsula (serviced by Gig Harbor Fire #5, Key Peninsula #16, Anderson Island #27) and in South Pierce County (serviced by Roy Fire #17, Eatonville, Ashford #23).
The burn ban will be lifted for all residents as of 12 p.m. Jan. 16, the agency announced on Twitter.
