Puyallup CNA Stole Meds, Falsified Reports: Health Department

PUYALLUP, WA - The state health department last week suspended the license of a Pierce County-based certified nursing assistant who allegedly stole narcotic medications from the residents of a Puyallup assisted living facility and falsified inventory records.

Caylee Homeyer, 28, of Puyallup, was arraigned Nov. 16, 2018, in Pierce County Superior Court on criminal charges of forgery and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, both Class C felonies. Her status as a certified nursing assistant in the state of Washington is now pending further legal action by the county.

Homeyer also has 20 days to request a hearing in response to the charges alleged by the DOH.

According to court documents, Homeyer between June and September 2018 stole from the residents of an assisted living facility various medications, including oxycodone, which she told police she used for herself.

In addition to the alleged theft, Homeyer is suspected of falsifying inventory records of the medications distributed in an effort to obtain more narcotics from a local pharmacy.

An omnibus hearing is scheduled in Pierce County on April 11.
