Puyallup Eliminates Water Rate Surcharge for Non-Residents
The Puyallup City Council voted 5-2 on Tuesday night to eliminate a usage rate surcharge paid by non-resident water customers.

County residents who are Puyallup water customers will see a slight adjustment on their bill, after the city council approved an ordinance that eliminates a rate surcharge.
Typically, a Pierce County resident hooked up to Puyallup's water system has a 50 percent higher bill than city residents, according to The Tacoma News Tribune.
The additional charges to non-residents was in place to offset delivery and service costs.Β
