Puyallup Police Blotter: Identity Thief Goes to Court with False Name, 24 Parking Tickets Issued During Farmers Market

Vehicle Prowl: An iPod was stolen from a vehicle parked on 7th St. SE with the windows down. Β 

Forgery, Identity Theft: A woman arrested by Buckley police gave a fake name, which turned out to have a Puyallup warrant attached to it. Buckley transported the woman to Puyallup and she appeared in court under that name, gave her fingerprints and was interviewed by police. She signed court documents under the fake name and had the stolen identification with her during the process. She was charged with forgery, identity theft and outstanding warrants. Β 

Trespass: A woman was caught in a homeowner’s backyard on 4th Ave. SW., in two separate incidents. The second time, she had opened the back of the homeowner’s truck and said the owner gave her permission to be there. She fled from police but was arrested downtown. She was found to be in possession of narcotics. Β 

MAY 16, 2013 Β 

Assault: A man got into a verbal argument with another man in the South Hill Mall Food Court and punched him in the head, alleging that the man broke a window at his house party a few days before. Β 

Assault: A 17 year-old got angry after his parents told him he couldn’t go to the mall with his girlfriend. He threw a temper tantrum, punched his sister in the side of the head and scratched his father. He also kicked his mom and injured her. He was booked at Remann Hall. Β 

Theft from Vehicle: A witness observed a male break the window of a car parked on S. Meridian and steal a Coach purse with numerous items inside. He fled on S. Meridian in a maroon Nissan Sentra. He was described as a white male, between 25 and 30 years old, approximately six feet tall and 175 pounds. Β 

Trespass: A 26 year-old woman was found wandering the halls of Puyallup High School. She told security she was there to drop off money for her sister, but she didn’t have any cash and the story about her sister didn’t check out. She had traffic warrants, but nothing else suspicious was noticed. She was trespassed from the school.

Possession of Stolen Property: An officer arrived at Sparks Stadium because the school reported a young man there was suicidal. The young man was found to be in possession of a stolen iPod, which he admitted to stealing from a vehicle. He was released to his mother. She later called police and said he was out of control and she needed help because he was punching her walls. He was taken into custody and booked for the stolen property charge. Β 

Theft: A delivery driver at Walgreen’s to deliver cigarettes reported that he removed the cartonsΒ from the truck and went to park. He returned to find almost $4,000 in cigarettes was stolen. Β 

MAY 17, 2013

Commercial Burglary: Suspects entered a dry cleaning business on E. Main by cutting a hole in the roof. They stole $435. Β 

Weapons Violation at School: A teen brought an air soft pistol to school and was showing it off to other students. Read more on Patch.Β Β

Parking Tickets: Over 24 parking tickets were issued in and around the Puyallup Farmers Market, and two were issued at Bradley Lake Park. Β 

Attempted Commercial Burglary: Sometime within the last week, a two-foot tall hole was cut into the wall of the Benaroya Facility on 39th Ave. SE. The storage unit housed 30 large power receivers but nothing appeared to be missing. Β 

Commercial Burglary: A weed eater and pressure washer were stolen from outside the Bangkok Thai Restaurant on 39th Ave. SW. Β 

Vehicle Prowl: About $3,000 in hand and electrical tools was stolen from the back of a truck parked on 12th Ave. SE. Β  Β  Β  Β  Β

Motor Vehicle Theft: A 1996 Honda Accord was stolen from outside JC Penney. Β 

Runaway: A 15-year-old girl ran away after her mother confronted her about smoking and tried taking her cell phone away. She was last seen wearing a tank top and yellow Spongebob Squarepants pajamas. Β 

MAY 20, 2013

Copper Wire Theft: Six feet of copper tubing was stolen from an AC unit on the side of a chiropractor’s office on S. Meridian. Β 

Burglary: Two baloney cords valued at $500 each were stolen from a building currently under construction on 7th St. SE. Β 

Possession of Stolen Property, Vehicle: A woman was detained at Walmart for attempting to steal $500 worth of car stereos. Her accomplice was found in the parking lot, in a car that happened to be stolen. Inside, police found a laptop, jewelry and methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Both women went to jail for possession of stolen property, theft and drug charges. Β  Β
