Puyallup Police Issue 107 Tickets for Cell Phone, Seatbelt Violations

The Puyallup Police Department conducted the campaign from May 20 through June 2.

The Puyallup Police Department released the results from its texting and seatbelt emphasis that itΒ conducted from May 20 through June 2, according to its Facebook page.

Here are the statistics:

  • 155 contacts madeΒ 
  • 45 warnings given
  • 6 criminal arrests
  • 107 tickets issued
Of those 107Β tickets written:
  • 40 were cell phone
  • 44 were no seat belts
  • 9 were no child restraint
"It was a very successful campaign as we try to stop distracted driving by cell phone usage and save lives by buckling up," police officials added.
