Puyallup's SHEBEAR Wins Second Place at EMP's Sound Off! Battle of the Bands

The Puyallup indie rock band will get to perform at Seattle's Northwest Folklife Festival.

Puyallup indie-pop rock band SHEBEAR gets a guaranteed spot in Seattle’s Northwest Folklife Festival after winning second place in the 2013 Sound Off! 21-and-under battle of the bands at EMP Museum’s Sky Church.

The band will also receive free gear, studio time, radio airplay and consultations with music-industry pros.

"We write music as a way to comprehend that which we dont understand. We are four musicians who believe that sometimes music can carry emotion better than lyrics and vocals are not a focal point but another instrument to be used in a song," says SHEBEAR in the "about" section on the band's Facebook page.
