Roofer Rescued After Injury In South Hill: CPFR
Central Pierce Fire & Rescue's Ladder 61 crew rescued an injured contractor from a construction site in South Hill.

PUYALLUP, WA - A contractor working on a job site in the South Hill area reportedly hurt himself Tuesday afternoon, requiring a Central Pierce Fire & Rescue crew to help him down from the roof of an under-construction apartment building.
The injured worker was not identified, though CPFR Capt. Darrin Shaw said the injury was apparently minor, noting the man's co-workers drove him to hospital after he was rescued from the rooftop.
The contractor reportedly hurt his knee while performing roof work at a forthcoming apartment development, near Sunrise Boulevard and 110th Avenue east, Shaw said.

Editor's note: A previous version of this article misidentified the construction development as the future home of Glacier Run Apartments. A spokeswoman for the Glacier Run developer on Wednesday told Patch the incident did not occur at that development. Central Pierce Fire & Rescue confirmed its mistake.
