Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing In South Hill
Pierce County Deputies say the plane's landing gear was stuck, forcing an emergency touchdown. Fortunately, no one was injured.
SOUTH HILL, WA — The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is celebrating a successful emergency landing at South Hill's Thun Field.
According to deputies, a small plane had been flying over Pierce County when the pilot called in an emergency: his landing gear was stuck, and he needed to get down ASAP. First responders guided the pilot as he made an emergency landing at Thun Field at the Pierce County Airport.
Deputies have shared the dashcam footage below, showing the moment the plane touched down.
