Suspect Breaks Into, Barricades Inside South Hill Home
The SWAT team was called to a South Hill home Wednesday to arrest a suspect wanted on assault and burglary warrants.

SOUTH HILL, WA β A suspect is now in custody following a standoff in the South Hill area late Wednesday.
Deputies first reported the incident just after 5 p.m. Wednesday. According to the sheriff's department, their deputies and a SWAT team had been called to arrest a suspect barricaded inside a home in the 9200 block of 118th St E.

The home does not belong to the suspect: Investigators say he broke inside, and then refused to leave. He was wanted for assault in the second degree and burglary warrants from a previous incident.
Negotiators quickly arrived on scene and after several fruitless attempts to contact the man, eventually were able to communicate with him. Deputies say at that point, they convinced him to surrender and he was arrested without any further incidents or injuries.
