Suspect Vehicle Recovered in Hit and Run Case That Sent Puyallup Teen to Hospital

Two months later, there is finally a break in the hit-and-run case that shocked the Puyallup community and sent a teen girl to the hospital.

Police and fire responded to a hit and run on March 14, 2013. They found 15 year-old Chloe Williams down in the street, after she was hit while crossing the street in a marked crosswalk on West Stewart Ave.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2013, members of the Puyallup Police Department Major Collision Response Team (MCRT) recovered the hit and run suspect vehicle in this case, according to a press release from the department.

The vehicle, a white 1997 Chevrolet Suburban, was recovered in the Yelm area. MCRT officers had received anonymous information via tips to Crime Stoppers that led them to the Yelm area where they eventually located the vehicle.

On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, MCRT officers executed an evidentiary search warrant on the vehicle. The vehicle continues to be held as evidence in this case. MCRT officers continue to investigate this case.
