Tacoma PD Arrest Suspected Serial Arsonist Following Dumpster Fires
Officers say the 34-year-old is a "known serial arsonist" with several prior arrests.
TACOMA, WA β Tacoma Police have arrested a man who officers call a "known serial arsonist" after linking him to a pair of dumpster fires Sunday.
According to Tacoma Police, the fires were not far from each other. The first was reported outside an apartment building in the 200 block of S. G St. The second was at a construction site in the 400 block of St. Helens.
Both the apartment complex and construction sites were damaged, but no injuries have been reported.

Based on witness descriptions of the suspect, officers quickly located and arrested a 34-year-old man. Officers say it isn't his first time behind bars, and that he has multiple prior arrests for arson in Downtown Tacoma.
