'Targeted Resumes & Cover Letters' Workshop

A targeted resume is tailored to a particular job you’re applying for. Learn how to customize your ‘standard’ resume and cover letter to the specific job skills, abilities, and qualifications the employer is seeking. 

You will need to bring (1) Job Posting/Description, (2) Hard copy (paper copy) of you resume and (3) Your resume on a thumb drive or emailed to yourself as an attachment accessible from Internet email such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. 

Basic computer literacy is a pre-requisite for attending this class.

So You Want to Design Video Games? with DigiPen

3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Puyallup Public Library

This is the rescheduled DigiPen presentation!  Have you ever thought about designing games as a career?  DigiPen is a four-year college, located in Redmond, and is ranked as one of the top three colleges in the country for studying Game Design.  Their Office of Admissions-Outreach will be visiting the library!  Learn about DigiPen, their admission requirements, see samples of student games, and get a lesson in traditional game design!  No registration is required.

This event is offered as part of the Teen Summer Reading Program (ages 12 - 19) and is sponsored by the Friends of the Puyallup Public Library.

The Electric Run

The Electric Run is a 5k run/walk at night with amazing lighting effects that are synchronized to music, benefitting the Special Olympics. Participants are encouraged to get their glow on by dressing up with neon attire and glow accessories.
