Victim In Critical Condition After Late-Night Spanaway Shooting

The victim reportedly told deputies he knew his attacker, and that his car had been stolen.

SPANAWAY, WA β€” A man is in the hospital in critical condition after an overnight shooting in a Spanaway parking lot.

Deputies say they first received a 911 call reporting shots fired at around 1 a.m. Thursday. The caller told dispatchers he had been walking in the 200 block of 160th St S street when he heard gun shots.

The caller rushed to the scene, where he found a shooting victim lying on the ground, seriously injured and asking for help.

First responders rushed the 29-year-old victim to a nearby hospital, where he is reportedly in critical condition. Deputies say the victim was able to tell them that he knew his attacker, and that the shooter had also stolen his car. No arrests have been made.

Officers say they are working to secure surveillance footage of the lot as part of their ongoing investigation.
