A new traffic signal installed at the intersection of 5th Ave. SE and 39th Ave. SE will help ease congestion on South Hill and provide direct access to South Meridian.Β
The intersection at 5th and 39th used to be a "T" shape, but is now a full-blown four-way intersection plus stop light, sidewalks and crosswalks. 39th Ave. SE now extends to South Meridian, adjacent to the Willows Shopping Center (where TJ MAXX is located).
