Washington State Fair Removes Iconic Cow Head From Gold Gate Entrance
Fair organizers took down the cow head on the north side of the Golden Gate "cube" on Monday, the first step in rebranding the Puyallup Fair as the Washington State Fair.

The cow-head "cube" that has greeted thousands of Puyallup Fair-goers for decades has been taken down, the first step in rebranding the Washington State Fair.
Removing the cow-head opens up the fairgrounds to a street-level view from outside, according to The Tacoma News Tribune.
It's the first in many planned renovations to the fairgrounds. Other "Puyallup Fair" messaging will also be removed and rebranded, officials say.

Fans of the "cube" shouldn't worry, the TNT reports, because the Fair is planning to make it a museum item in the near future.
