3 Injured In Shootings In Renton & Seatac; Suspect Arrested

Police said a man arrested on Interstate 5 in Tacoma on Thursday was responsible for three shootings in the region.

RENTON, WA — A suspect connected to three shootings in Renton and Seatac was caught Thursday, according to police. The Renton Police Department confirmed a shooting with two victims shortly after 2 p.m. in the area of Rainier Avenue South and Grady Way. Police said two victims suffered wounds to the lower body.

According to KING 5, one man was shot near a car dealership on Southwest Grady Way, followed by a second man near the Al-Madina grocery store on South Tobin Street. A third man was injured in a shooting in Seatac before the suspect was taken into custody on Interstate 5 in Tacoma, KING reported. One person injured in the shooting suffered serious injuries, police said.

More details on the circumstances of the shootings will be available in court filings after an initial appearance, which is likely Friday afternoon.
