
Learning to play a musical instrument, and participation in high school and college band was more than an extra-curricular activity for local business leader Bob Bridge, president of Bob Bridge Toyota—Scion Renton.
Music sharpened his mental focus, and allowed Bridge to hone his leadership skills, he said
Bridge recently recalled his glory days to students in Ernest Hibbard’s band class at Hazen High School, where he present a $2,000 check to fund musical instrument repair. He'll do the same at Lindbergh and Renton high schools.

Bridge is no stranger to Renton education issues. He helped establish the Friends of Renton Schools community fund, and the Reading Buddies program.
Bridge said his commitment to schools and education isn’t unique.

“There are a lot of people in this town who care deeply about this community and the education of our children," he said.
