• MLK Jr. Way street name to extend to Renton, Kent from Seattle (rentonreporter.com) — Renton drivers will soon see State Route 900 marked as Martin Luther King Jr. Way, after a state commission approved extending the honorary street name from Seattle through Renton and into Kent. No addresses will change, but new memorial signs are expected as early as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, highlighting Renton’s role in honoring Dr. King’s civil rights legacy.
