Annual Renton Schools Foundation Fundraiser Coming Up
The Renton Schools Foundation raises thousands each year to fund activities in city schools.
From RSF: The Renton Schools Foundation (RSF) is hosting their 10 th Annual Fundraising Breakfast to support students and educators on Monday, April 29, 7 a.m. at Renton Pavilion Event Center, 233 Burnett Ave South, in downtown Renton.
We are excited to share that; we are approaching TWO MILLION dollars’ worth of grants being given to the Renton School District. This exciting dollar amount is because of the generous donations of individuals and local businesses who are dedicated to enhance the education experiences of the 16,000 students in Renton Schools.
Here are just a few areas that donations are currently supporting:
 Digital Literacy – This school year over 105,900 books have been read by elementary students with software provided by the foundation.
 Music/Arts – students in the Lindbergh High School Band are working with a composer to write their own music!
ï‚· STEM Summer Camp - registration is taking place FREE to middle school and high school students.
 Teacher grants – Over $20,000 was granted in January to teachers for inspiring projects throughout the school district!
