Auburn, Kent Vaccine Sites Offer 1,000 Walk-Up Shots Daily
Both vaccination sites can now serve hundreds of walk-ups every day. Shots are available to all people in King County.

AUBURN, WA — It's becoming even easier to get vaccinated in King County this week, as the Kent and Auburn clinics begin to serve hundreds of people daily with no appointments needed. Previously, appointments at the two sites were reserved for south county residents. Now, they are open to anyone in King County.
While the bulk of available slots will still require appointments, public health officials said both sites now have the supplies to vaccinate up to 1,000 walk-ups. The changes were possible thanks to a considerable boost in the availability of Pfizer and Moderna doses, officials said.
"We know this can make a big difference for people with less flexible work schedules, or for those that may want to come get their vaccine with friends or family," said Dr. Mark Del Beccaro, an assistant deputy chief and Public Health - Seattle & King County. "With the increased supply, we are now able to open up our Auburn and Kent vaccination sites for anyone in King County."

The walk-up spots are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Both sites are also extending evening and weekend availability. The Auburn clinic will administer shots between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, and open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5.
Vaccine seekers also have a choice in what shot they receive. The Kent site offers Pfizer and Moderna, and the Auburn clinic has all three approved vaccines, including the single-dose Johnson & Johnson.
