RENTON, WA — This weekend, Renton families are invited downtown to celebrate the birthday of Erasmus, the famous metal dragon perched near the corner of 3rd and Wells. Erasmus' Hatch Day Celebration asks helpers of all ages to search for dozens of his dragon friends hidden throughout downtown.

Here's more information from the city on how it works:

"This is a FREE and safe self adventure so grab your party gear, download a Hatch Day scorecard, and find ten (10) different dragons. Fill out the scorecard with the dragons you’ve found, and enter it for a chance to win some great prizes! From there, you can fly around downtown Renton and enjoy a variety of delicious foods, a tasty beverage, purchase a trinket or two from any of the epic shops, or admire some of the fantastic art pieces throughout downtown! We also recommend parking in the City Center Parking garage to hunt your way to the Hatch Day celebration."

All that is needed to participate is a Hatch Day Scorecard, which can be printed in advance at home or picked up at three locations:
