RENTON, WA — Renton will once again celebrate Erasmus' Hatch Day starting April 1, marking three years since the city's favorite dragon became the guardian of downtown.

The fun begins Friday with a self-guided scavenger hunt, seeking 30 of Erasmus' closest friends hidden around downtown. Families need only find 10 of them for a chance to win. Hatch Day scorecards can be printed out online or picked up at one of the following locations:

  • Common Ground Cupcake & Coffee 900 S 3rd St
  • Sparkle Gifts & Whatnot 824 S 3rd St
  • Wyldwood Creative 822 S 3rd St

While supplies last, the same three shops will also provide a free art kit to help kids make their fiercest dragon masks.
