City Council Briefed on Quendall Terminals Tonight
The Planning Department will brief the City Council on the Quendall Terminal Project at 5 p.m.

No action will be taken during the briefing, said Renton Senior Planner Vanessa Dolbee. Instead, the Council will be "brought up to speed" on the project, and receive a primer on the next steps. The briefing was rescheduled from Feb. 28 due to unforeseen circumstances in the planning department.
The public comment window also was extended twice, Dolbee said. The original comment cutoff was Jan 10, the second on Jan. 25, and the final comment period ended March 9 at 5 p.m.

The comment deadlines were extended because of "public request," Dolbee said, adding that the department received hundreds of comments.
The Quendall Terminal project is located at 4350 Lake Washington Boulevard, and is expected to include about 800 apartment or condo units, 245,000 square feet of office space, 21,600 square feet of retail space, and 9,000 square feet of restaurant space, in addition to 2,171 parking spaces.

The Council will also discuss the Seattle Water Contract during the committee of the whole this evening.
