City Hosts Fall Arts Equinox Event
The Renton Municipal Arts Commission has planned the Fall Art Equinox event on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 6-8 p.m.

There's a new event in Renton this year that will coincide with an age-old biennial calendar marker.
The 2011 fall equinox on Sept. 23; however, the Renton Municipal Arts Commission has planned the Fall Art Equinox event on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 6-8 p.m. to celebrate the City's arts and to gather input to further strengthen Renton's artistic community.
The event will take place at the Seattle Opera Scenic Studios, 1655 North 4th Street, and will give citizens an opportunity to learn more about what's happening with Renton's Arts & Culture Master Plan, to provide input on future arts efforts, and to discover small and powerful ways to contribute to the arts in Renton and make a difference, according to a statement from the Arts Commission.

Stop by for music, creative activities, and a light dinner.Â
Attendees will help make funding decisions for this year's "Make Art in Renton" arts and culture grant applications.
