Dog Attack In Renton Leaves Chiweenie Injured: Police

The pit bull involved in the attack might be the same dog that was stolen from the pound in 2017.

RENTON, WA — Renton police are trying to gather surveillance images related to a pit bull attack that happened along Wells Avenue on April 24. The pit bull involved may be the same dog that was involved in a similar incident in 2017, police say.

The attack happened around 6 p.m. near Wells Avenue North and North 4th Street. The pit bull attacked a chiweenie dog name Larry, who did survive.

According to police, the pit bull may be the same one that was impounded in 2017 after a similar attack. The dog was freed from the pound after someone broke in and stole the dog, and it's been at-large ever since.
