Flying Fish? Those Are Built in Renton, Too
Watch a video of the making of the world's largest King Salmon.
Across the Puget Sound, October is a month to celebrate Salmon as thousands of Sockeye and Chinook swim up area rivers to spawn.
So it's only fitting that Alaska Airlines and the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute recently unveiled the world's largest King (also known as Chinoon) salmon, according to the AlaskaAirVids YouTube.com account.
The fish-themed design adorns one of the airline's Boeing 737-800, which is nearly 129 feet long. The 91,000 pound King Salmon will fly on routes throughout the airlines network which spans from the Hawaiian Islands to Boston.
