The holidays are all about giving, but until now there’s been no one day dedicated to the promotion of selfless deeds.
Following Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, a new national event dubbed “Giving Tuesday” launches this year.
“Giving Tuesday is a call to each of us to refocus attention during the holiday season on helping the needy, caring for the environment, and assisting other important causes after Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping sprees,” said Renton resident Richard Bray, Development Director for the Arboretum Foundation and member of Seattle Philanthropy Advisors Network.
