The Landing Hosts Free Art Festival On July 31
The Landing shopping center in Renton is hosting a free art festival this weekend showcasing elaborate chalk creations.
RENTON, WA — The Landing in Renton is scheduled to host a free art festival on Saturday, showcasing dozens of works created by artists using chalk. On July 31, neighbors are invited down to the shopping center between noon and 3 p.m. to check out the creations and watch artists used hundreds of pieces of chalk to create a pavement mural. Other artists will create works on canvas while guests watch.
Organizers said a DJ will spin live music while an interactive art station and "chalk zone" offers kids and adults a space to create works of their own. Visitors can also snap photos in front of a 3D sidewalk mural.
