Last Day To Vote In King County's February Special Election

Tuesday is another Election Day for many cities across King County, where voters will have the final say on several school levies.

KING COUNTY, WA — Three weeks after ballots were mailed to more than 1.1 million voters across King County, the February special election is drawing to a close. To be counted, all ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday or returned to a drop box or voting center no later than 8 p.m.

While the special election applies to fewer voters than the November election, voters in several cities and communities have a chance to make their voices heard on several levies that help fund school districts across the region.

Here are the King County school districts with one or more ballot measures appearing on the Feb. 8 ballots:

The ballot measure includes many expiring levies, which are due for renewal, and a handful of new ones, too. Funding from the measures helps fill gaps in funding provided by the state, which in turn supports staffing, training, technology, athletics and classroom expansions.

Outside of the school-focused measures, voters in Shoreline will also vote on a parks bond, and most King County voters are also eligible to cast digital ballots in the King Conservation District's latest board election.
