Lost Lumber Load Blocks Northbound SR 167 In Renton

Traffic backups hit three miles Wednesday after a truck spilled lumber across the northbound lanes of State Route 167.

RENTON, WA — A semi-truck spilled a load of lumber across the northbound lanes of State Route 167 in Renton Wednesday, causing lengthy backups while cleanup efforts were underway. According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, all northbound lanes of SR 167 were closed right at the Interstate 405 ramp, around 2 p.m.

WSDOT said crews were coordinating with tow crews and forklifts to remove the lumber that spilled from the truck. Backups quickly surpassed three miles while cleanup efforts continued.
