Man Dead After Shooting On Sunset Boulevard

RENTON, WA — A 31-year-old man died Thursday morning after being shot several times, according to police. Witnesses called 911 to report a person laying on the ground shortly before 5:30 a.m. on the 300 block of Southwest Sunset Blvd, near Fred Meyer. Officers arriving on the scene said the man had already died and suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

In a news release Thursday, the Renton Police Department said early information indicated the shooting was not random and there was no risk to the general public. More information on the circumstances of the shooting or a potential suspect was not immediately released.
