New Life Church Hosts Renton Blood Drive May 28-29

RENTON, WA — Renton neighbors will have a chance to donate blood and be entered into a contest to win a new barbecue during a pop-up event planned at New Life Church at the end of May.

Bloodworks Northwest is seeking donations across the state leading into summer, to ensure there is enough blood supply to meet community needs. Anyone who makes an appointment through May 31 will be entered to win a barbeque, and the Renton pop-up event runs from May 28 to May 29.

Right now, appointments are required at all Bloodworks donation sites, and no walk-ins, guests, or people under 16 are permitted on site. Visitors will still need to bring a face covering to their donation appointments. There is no waiting period to give blood after receiving any of the COVID-19 vaccines.
