New Life's Jingle Jam Ushers In The Holidays

Do you know of a fun event on the horizon? Post it to the Renton Patch events calendar!

helped the community get in the spirit by hosting the 2011 Jingle Jam on Friday night.

Children and Family Pastor Duane Montague described the event as a “big free Christmas party for the whole family, starting with a big family-friendly musical comedy show at 7 p.m. With great Christmas songs, fun laughs, and a version of “Name That Tune” for parents, it’s the perfect start to the evening’s fun.”

After the show, families rode the Christmas Trains, visited the Live Nativity and Petting Farm, decorated Gingerbread Cookies, played on inflatables, snapped family pictures in the free photobooth, and visited Santa’s.

The fun continued with family contests including  “Parent Wrapping” and “Jingle Bells.”

Enciso Family Farms served up fresh-cooked food and HeBrews Café kept the masses warm with eggnog lattes, gingerbread mochas, and other warming drinks.

Families submitted their best-decorated gingerbread houses in a judged contest. The most popular house received a $100 gift card to Sur La Table. The runners-up also received prizes.
