One Hospitalized After Renton Fire
One person was treated for smoke inhalation after an apartment fire in Renton early Tuesday.

RENTON, WA — One person was taken to the hospital after an early morning fire in downtown Renton, according to fire officials. The Renton Regional Fire Authority said crews responding to a fire alarm on South 2nd Street discovered smoke and fire just after 3:30 a.m. and stood up a working fire response with help from Skyway Fire, King County Medic One and Tukwila Fire.
According to The Seattle Times, the fire broke out inside an apartment at the Compass Veterans Center, and the occupant was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Fortunately, no other residents were injured or displaced by the fire.
