Pothole Repairs Planned Next Week On State Route 900

RENTON, WA — Contractors will deploy over three nights next week to repair potholes along State Route 900 in Renton as part of the Washington State Department of Transportation's Northwest Region Emergency Pavement Repair project.

The $7 million project is scheduled to run through next April and will cover 88 locations in need of repairs in King, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties. According to WSDOT, 15 state highways need about 20 miles of placement repairs, including four bridge decks.

In Renton, Lakeside Industries crews will work overnight Saturday through Monday to improve conditions for commuters on SR 900, from just west of Northeast 12th Street to just east of Duvall Avenue Northeast in Renton.

To help reduce noise, the city said crews will use approved truck bed liners and avoid "excessive tailgate banging." Residents can file noise complaints or request free earplugs by calling the state's noise hotline at 1-888-808-4368.
