Renton Parking Garage Will Turn Into Concert Venue This Week
For the first time, the roof of a downtown Renton garage will host a concert (and a beer garden).
RENTON, WA — A unique event is coming to downtown Renton on Thursday. The roof of the city parking garage along South 2nd Street will host a concert and other festivities.
The "Date Night Concert" will feature the Seattle M80s, an 80s cover band that plays hits by Rick Springfield, Devo, and others. There will also be a beer and wine garden on the roof.
The event is free, but the roof only has capacity for 300 people. There's free parking in the floors below the roof level. The City Center Parking Garage is located at 655 South 2nd St., and the concert starts at 7 p.m.
