Renton PD Arrest Man They Say Shot Woman Serving Eviction Notice

RENTON, WA – Joshua Gasperich is under arrest, charged with shooting a woman serving an eviction notice. The names of the shooter and victim have not been released.

Police responded to a report of someone shot in the area of the 2700 block of Northeast 9th Street around 12:15 p.m..

Highlands Elementary School was placed on lockdown because of the shooting. The kids were never in danger but the school and police wanted to make sure that a suspect on the run didn't enter the building. The woman who was shot rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition. Her name has not been released.

The shooter was found and arrested without incident around 2:30 p.m. after he was found near The Brick Pub and Grill and Northeast Sunset Boulevard.
