Renton School Calendar 2018-19: First Day of School, Vacations

RENTON, WA — The first day of school in Renton is August 29 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Renton District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

October

• 10/12: No School (Professional Teacher Day)

November

• 11/5: No School (Professional Teacher Day)
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day Observed)
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)
• 11/30: No School (Professional Teacher Day)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/28: No School (Professional Teacher Day)

February

• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Mid-Winter Break)

March

• 3/18: No School (Professional Teacher Day)

April

• 4/8 - 4/12: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/28: Emergency Closure Make-Up Day (if needed)

June

• 6/20: Last Day of School
