Renton Taco Truck Burns Down, GoFundMe Established
Taqueria El Taco Loco's truck burned down on Easter Sunday. Now, the community is rallying to get owners back on their feet.
RENTON, WA — The community is coming together to support a Renton taco truck which was destroyed in a commercial fire on Easter Sunday.
Early that morning, Renton firefighters reported that they had been called to two separate commercial vehicle fires. One burned several buses, the other destroyed Taqueria El Taco Loco's taco truck.

In the aftermath of the fire, Taqueria El Taco Loco has set up a GoFundMe to help raise money and offset their devastating loss.

"My family has put everything into our business since opening last spring after a very rough Covid-19 experience for our nation," organizer Edgar Castaneda writes. "Seeing my father in tears because our hopes and dreams were shattered this day was the hardest thing ever for me."
In less than a day, the fundraiser has raised more than $7,000 and counting. Taqueria El Taco Loco says they're thankful to see such an outpouring of support from the community.
