Renton Weekend Weather Forecast: Cold And Dry Into Monday

RENTON, WA — Drier days and colder nights are on the docket this weekend, allowing for a break in the wet weather and some sunshine before the next system moves into the region next week, according to the latest forecasts. Thanks to northerly winds, overnight lows are poised to drop near or below the freezing mark both Sunday and Monday morning, forecasters said.

Breezy outflow winds from the Fraser River Valley will likely bring some gusty periods to Puget Sound late Saturday afternoon into Sunday before easing. Peak wind speeds will be highest in western Whatcom County, the San Juans and along the Straight of Juan De Fuca. Seattle and Everett could see a few gusts between 20 and 25 mph, while the foothills and South Sound should stay a few notches lower.

Wednesday should provide a slight break in the weather, though some clouds will remain before a stronger system arrives Thursday. The long-term forecast includes the possibility of a good amount of rain in the lowlands and heavy mountain snow through next Saturday.
