Renton's Clock Tower Will Be Relocated On Wednesday
A crane will lift the clock tower to a nearby parking lot, where it will sit for the next two or three months during utility construction.

RENTON, WA — Renton's clock tower will be relocated to a temporary location this week as construction work continues on the city's Downtown Utility Improvement Project. The latest phase in the multi-part project involves using a crane to pick up the clock tower at South 3rd Street and Burnett Avenue South and moving it to a parking lot, where it will stay for the next two or three months, officials said.
Earlier in May, crews poured a concrete pad for the clock tower to rest on over two parking spaces. The concrete should be ready by Wednesday when the crane will be on-site to finish the move.

According to the city, businesses in the area will remain open during the move, and signs will direct visitors safely around the worksite.
