SIFF Selections: May 24
'Copacabana' and 'Happy, Happy' will play tonight at the IKEA Performing Arts Center today as part of the Seattle International Film Festival.

6 p.m. Copacabana is a 107-minute French comedy with English subtitles. The film follows the falling out of a 'footloose-and-fancy-free' mother and her 'straight-laced' daughter just before the young woman's wedding. The mother, determined to attend the celebration, and salvage her relationship with her daughter pulls out all the stops and vows to clean up her act.
8:30 p.m. Happy, Happy, is a 88-minute Norwegian romance with English subtitles. It follows the outwardly perfect, yet inwardly dysfunctional relationships of two couples in their mid-30s. Sex, comedy and drama are peppered throughout the film.
