SR 167 Lane Closures This Weekend Near I-405

RENTON, WA - Prepare for some serious delays this weekend at the SR 167 interchange with I-405 in Renton. WSDOT will be reducing lanes between the two highways for construction work.

The closures will last 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday through Sunday. This weekend's disruption will be just a preview for next weekend, when all southbound lanes will close between I-405 and South 180th Street (the Ikea exit).

WSDOT construction crews are building a new flyover ramp that will connect the SR 167 HOT lanes to the I-405 carpool lanes.

Here's what this weekend's lane reductions and closures will look like, according to WSDOT:

• 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20 – Northbound I-405 will be reduced to two lanes between SR 167 and Talbot Road South/SR 515.
• 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 - The northbound I-405 ramp to northbound SR 167/Rainier Ave. South will be closed. A signed detour will be in place.
• 11 p.m. Friday, Aug, 17 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20 - The southbound SR 167 ramp to northbound I-405 will be closed. A signed detour will be in place.
