Seattle PD: Gun Recovered Following Armed Robbery In South Park
Police arrested two 17-year-olds and recovered a handgun following an armed robbery in the South Park neighborhood.
SEATTLE — Officers arrested two 17-year-olds and recovered a handgun following an armed robbery in the South Park neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Victims called police around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 7th to report an armed carjacking in the 8700 block of 10th Avenue South. While officers were looking for the victim’s vehicle, dispatchers received a second call about an armed robbery in the same area, police said.
Officers said they responded and spoke with the victims, who reported a male suspect held them at gunpoint while telling them to get out of their car and empty their pockets. The victims were able to escape from the vehicle, but the suspects chased after them. After losing the suspects, the victims returned to their vehicle and call 911.

According to the officers, they searched the area and found the suspects. They attempted to flee on foot, but police detained them a short distance away.
Officers said they recovered a loaded handgun from one of the suspects.

Police arrested the 17-year-old suspects and booked them into King County Family Justice Center for robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm.
