• Wood County Commission interviews two for Lubeck PSD board (newsandsentinel.com) — Wood County commissioners in Parkersburg are weighing two candidates to help oversee water and sewer services on the Lubeck Public Service District board, a move that could affect rates and infrastructure for local residents. The commission also approved bids for several new SUVs for the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, aiming to keep the patrol fleet modern and well maintained.
   

• Sisters Health Foundation celebrates nonprofits at Grant Partner Luncheon (newsandsentinel.com) — Several Parkersburg churches, nonprofits, and service agencies just received significant grant support from the Sisters Health Foundation, helping fund food pantries, recovery programs, transportation, and basic-needs assistance. The luncheon in Vienna honored more than 100 Mid-Ohio Valley organizations, with over $1.3 million awarded across 11 counties to strengthen health, housing stability, and mental health services.
   

• Morgantown, University headline Class AAAA All-State football team after historic seasons (dominionpost.com) — Parkersburg South standouts Kamero Jackson and Channing Barrett earned first-team All-State defensive honors, while Parkersburg’s Drey Grinter and Devin Widman made the second team. The Class AAAA All-State list highlights top performers from across West Virginia after a historic season for Morgantown and University, giving local fans plenty to cheer about.
